Limbo Jewelry Design is the product of husband and wife team: Edson Enriquez(Designer/Creative Director) and Anne Rutt-Enriquez(sales, operations).
Limbo Jewelry Design was founded in 2005 as an intimate and unassuming retail pop-up shop on South Congress. These humble beginnings
served as Edson's playful way to refine his craft and design abilities. Following 5 successful years in the Austin market
the Enriquez clan has opened: "Limbo Jewelry Showroom." Edson's uncommon take on architectural jewelry, art, and nature-inspired designs and
Anne's complimentary professional experiences in marketing and PR, continue to guide the Limbo brand's rapid growth.
Edson Zinser Enriquez
Born in Guadalajara, Jalisco (Mexico)
in 1980 from a Mexican, Spanish, Swedish & German heritage.
Edson first studied design in high school where he acquired his basic graphic design knowledge. At ITESO University in Guadalajara (Mexico) he continued his passion and majored in Industrial Design. At ITESO he was first exposed to a metalsmith workshop where Edson learned several jewelry disciplines such as silversmithing & metal forging.
Edson is trained on a well-founded design background and has experience in the fields of graphic & web design, industrial design, furniture & lighting fixture design, accessories & clothing design.
Edson thrives on original ideas and thoughts. For 6 years, he is committed to deliver the most unique jewelry designs on the market.
Edsons design's seamless relationship between beauty and simplicity can be seen in each of his collections. As a designer, it is Edson's play with empty spaces that give his work a sense of lightness and simplicity. It is his clean lines in the basic and organic shapes that define his style. Edson states, "I am trying to prove a point with my work. Things, shapes, and forms are beautiful already. We as designers do not need to add to them or drastically transform them. Our job is to simply enhance them and present them the right way."
