PRESS RELEASE: ZAMA COLLECTION

May 21, 2018

Introducing: The Zama Collection - a uniquely modern jewelry line focused on simple design concepts with striking details. Inspired by the Mayan Ruins in Tulum, Mexico, Designer Edson Enriquez brings to life a line resemblant of Limbo’s most iconic collections to date, hosting lariat necklaces, threader earrings, studs, and everyday rings. The Zama design process began immediately following a trip to Tulum with a few members of his Limbo team in late February, and will launch May 29th in stores and online at limbojewelry.com.

In 2017, Limbo partnered with talented local Interior Designer, Claire Zinnecker, and Chicago based Photographer, John Philp Thompson III. From these creative partnerships came the hugely successful Zin Collection and their most masculine collection to date, the Jackal Collection. “We are so thrilled with the incredible response to these collaborations.” says Limbo Designer, Edson Enriquez. “Now is the time for us to share another of our very own original collections once again!”

Since inception in 2003, Limbo has been known to add edgy and interesting details to classic wearable designs. Each piece in the Zama Collection does exactly that - with covet worthy designs made for everyday wear. As always Limbo pieces are handmade with precious and semi precious metals that come with a lifetime warranty.

Limbo Jewelry was built by the husband and wife team of Edson Enriquez and Anne Rutt-Enriquez. Designer, Edson has always been inspired by architecture - his education in industrial design sparked his interest in metalsmithing. Since arriving at the Austin art scene fifteen years ago, Limbo has grown from an unassuming pop-up shop on South Congress to one of the most recognised storefronts in the bustling SoCo district - with their second shop opening at Austin’s Domain Northside this past Fall. The brand’s online presence has also gained them International appeal.
